Pacquiao showed that he had accepted apology of Golden Boy Promotions

Oscar De La Hoya is the president of Golden Boy Promotions. Richard Schaefer is the CEO of this company. These individuals suspected the boxer Manny Pacquiao in administration of steroids. Since this suspicion could destroy Pacquiao’s reputation, he filed a defamation lawsuit against the president and the CEO of this promotional company, the boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his father.
But then Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum, the founder of the company Top Rank, achieved an agreement with the company Golden Boy Promotions. So, the Top Rank fighter dropped lawsuit against the president and CEO of the promotional company Golden Boy Promotions. But the defamation lawsuit against the fighter Floyd Mayweather and his father remained valid.
The CEO and the president of Golden Boy Promotions proclaimed that they denied their prior settlements connected with accusation in administration of steroids by Manny Pacquiao. They announced that there was no any evidence to suspect this fighter in application of banned medicines. They admitted that Manny Pacquiao was one of the best fighters of all times. At the end of agreement, the president of Golden Boy Promotions and Bob Arum shook their hands.
It is considered that this apology will cause competitions between Top Rank fighters and Golden Boy boxers.
Since the accusation was directed at Manny Pacquiao, the apology was directed at him too. The boxer accepted it and dropped the defamation that was related to the Cief Executive Officer and the president of Golden Boy Promotions.
At the beginning the debate about possible administration of performance-enhancing medications delayed the competition between Pacquiao and Mayweather. It happened because Mayweather insisted on tests for prohibited medications by the WADA.
Then Mayweather refused to fight with Pacquiao again, referring to steroid accusation. It led fans to increased impatience because they were expecting the fight.
