Results of Operation Gilde in Norway

Norwegian law enforcement officers have busted a huge doping ring. Over 10 individuals related to illicit operations were arrested. Six individuals were sentenced to prison.
According to affirmations of the newspaper Dagens N?ringsliv (DN), the doping ring was established in Trondheim. DN provided own investigation linked with illicit distribution of anabolic steroids in Norway. Police officers investigated the case.
It is suspected that a secret center is established in Trondheim. It manages illegal distribution of doping drugs and money laundering.
The arrested individuals were connected with bodybuilding, fitness and health industries in Norway. Certain individuals were arrested at their homes; others – in business offices, car lots and tram stops.
Police suggest that some persons are masked by the names of Guru and Karma.
Robert Eilertsen is one of those who have been arrested. He is an operator and editor of a fitness blog. He coached top sportspeople within football, boxing, handball, etc.
It is suspected that Eilertsen and several other persons have provided dangerous doping medications to Norwegian youth during certain years.
About 60 police officers were implicated in raids. The raids caused 11 arrests.
Since the investigation is not finished yet, police officers don’t announce about their further actions.
Norwegian customs officers and tax authorities assisted the investigation.
Many computers and certain documents were confiscated during raids of homes, business officers, cars, etc.
Eilertsen and Gunnar Strand Jacobsen, another arrested individual, have denied their connections with doping medications. Jacobsen is the owner of Kaliber Gym in Trondheim, one of the most famous gyms in Norway. Jacobsen was personal trainer of athletes who got prizes. He coached sportspersons that attended to various sports. Jacobsen is claimed to be a high-profile nutrition expert.
The raid was called “Operation Gilde”.
Eilertsen and Jacobsen are accused in sale of doping drugs and money laundering.

Certain persons have created legitimate business to hide illegal drug trade

Spain’s policemen arrested Scott Boote, a man, who was implicated in illicit actions connected with an international drug ring producing stimulants that increase sexual desire. Large amounts of products were confiscated by police officers. It was estimated the street value of these products. It was confirmed that it was almost ?3 million. A citizen of the UK, a 72-year-old man from Liverpool, was also questioned. According to affirmations of police, these two persons manufactured eight new sexual stimulants and sold them per internet without providing medical controls. Six other individuals were also questioned during this investigation. Investigators claimed that the individuals that were implicated in this illegal drug ring got vehicles and another property due to distribution of illegal sex medications. Some bank accounts were blocked by police. Over 100,000 doses of anabolic steroids, properties and cars were confiscated.
A spokesperson for Spanish police claimed that all members of the drug ring lived very luxuriously. They possess many properties and luxury cars. They bought properties abroad in order to hide the illegal business. Investigators determined that the ring offered for sale sexual preparations for both males and females. The medicines were offered for sale on internet. Persons from around the world could purchase the products. Thus, people from the USA, the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. were customers that obtained medicines from this ring. Three factories were established in Costa del Sol. Police officers suppose that those that were manufacturing the products didn’t possess required knowledge for this purpose. According to them, the persons that were involved in the drug ring managed also legitimate business in order to hide the illicit one. They put efforts to provide legitimate appearance to illicit actions. Several commercial companies were managed by these persons in order to mask the profits obtained due to illegal sale of sex stimulants.
Boxes which had to be sent to clients were also found by police officers. Anabolic steroids were also found and confiscated by law enforcement officers. The arrested persons also possessed packages, labels and leaflets.

Steroid excuse is successfully used by British drivers

Although it is not yet displayed scientifically whether uncontrolled aggressive behavior is an adverse result of steroids, these preparations are blamed for several criminal actions quite often.
Michael Barton, a person from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. Paul Gard was a motorist of Ford Fiesta. Barton had overtaken Paul Gard. But then Michael Barton had to pull back in front of Paul Gard, since another car was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. Thus, he had to brake suddenly. Barton got angry, stopped his car, broke the wing mirror of Gard’s vehicle and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife took her mobile and informed police. While she was calling, Barton drove off calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old man that has a kid of two years old, administers steroids to bulk up. So, it has been claimed that these preparations affected his behavior. The defense attorney for this young person claimed that steroids influenced negatively on temperament of his client, since these preparations enhanced his testosterone levels.
Previously Michael Barton was convicted for certain crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young man pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving carelessly because of his anger following assaults.
The judge Patrick Hooton claimed that he was not sure that steroids were responsible for the situation. But he noted that it was completely mad to get furious and hit a person in the face just because he flashed him. The judge noticed that Barton’s behavior was very immoral and he said: “you ought to go to prison”.
So, this person was given 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also enforced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of Paul Gard’s vehicle.

Green tea helps steroid users to dope and avoid detection

Sportspersons become more and more sophisticated in usage of steroids. They find new methods to hide their intake of banned medicines. Several sportspersons spend time studying experts’ affirmations that can help them to hide that they dope. Nowadays a method has been discovered: sportspersons can mask application of testosterone by drinking of green tea.
Testosterone is a hormone which is secreted in body naturally. Thus, it may be difficult for anti-doping organizations to determine that a sportsperson has administered testosterone. T: E ratio testing is ordinarily used by anti-doping agencies. Such tests may demonstrate uncommon ratio of testosterone to epitestosterone in urine. But it doesn’t have ability to display difference between testosterone which has been created in body naturally and that introduced into body with the help of injections, creams, etc.
Declan Naughton and his colleagues at Kingston University ( London) have found that green tea has such compounds which are called “catechins”. They are able to inhibit the enzyme UGT2B17. This enzyme induces attaching glucuronic acid to testosterone. In case UGT2B17 is inhibited, less testosterone glucoronide is excreted in urine.
Catechins, the compounds which are able to mask usage of testosterone, are contained in green and white tea. Black tea doesn’t contain such compounds.
Naughton and his colleagues have conducted some experiments. They confirm that a cup of strong green tea mask usage of testosterone.
Thus, those sportspersons who apply testosterone may reduce quantities of testosterone excreting in urine by consumption of green or white tea. Green or white tea is capable to block excretion of testosterone, increasing circulating levels of this hormone.
The World Anti-Doping Agency was informed about the findings by the specialists. If this process occurs, it means that it is not worthy to apply urine tests. Blood tests should be performed in order to determine that a person has used testosterone.
Olivier Rabin, the WADA’s specialist, affirms that regular checks of blood steroids will be added. Everything will be done by anti-doping agencies in order to avoid fooling of urine tests.

Analysis of drugs sent to Wim Vansevenant displayed that he didn’t provide doping products to Omega Pharma-Lotto team

The case related to the former Belgian rider Wim Vansevenant altered significantly. An analysis displayed that the doping drugs which were ordered by him didn’t contain the contents written on the labels. He was cheated by the company where he ordered the products.
Last year some packages sent to the former rider by an Australian company were intercepted by customs officials. According to the labels of  the intercepted  bottles,  they contained the doping medicine TB-500. It represents a peptide hormone that is able to increase muscle strength and speed healing. The Belgian authorities started an investigation. It was suspected that Wim Vansevenant supplied the Omega Pharma-Lotto team with doping medications. This sportsperson rode professionally 10 years, from 1998 to 2008. Last 6 years of the career he was with this team.
An analysis of the bottles intercepted by customs displayed that just amino acids were presented. Wim Vansevenant’s lawyer confirmed that the accusations had to be dropped. He explained that since the medicine was not linked with doping, the former athlete didn’t deserve to be punished.
The prosecutor’s spokesperson Johan Lescrauwaet confirmed that the contents didn’t correspond to the name of the product which was indicated on the label and to the affirmations of the former sportsman.
Only amino acids were found in the bottles. No any doping medication. Thus, there is no any evidence that Wim Vansevenant provided doping medicines to other individuals.
The hearing of Wim Vansevenant was scheduled to be later.

Bruce Goldberger: Anti-doping agencies use inadequate ways to prove that certain athletes doped

Testimonies of the well-known toxicologist Bruce Goldberger will probably influence essentially on decision of the court in the case against Roger Clemens. Bruce Goldberger is the Professor of Pathology and Director of Toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. This expert testified on behalf of Roger Clemens. Although he was invited in order to replace Don Catlin, the director of the WADA UCLA Medicine, Goldberger’s testimonies differed from those that are commonly presented by anti-doping organizations. This toxicologist testified on behalf of the accused sportsperson.
Bruce Goldberger has gained his celebrity due to his appearing on different news programs. Even during such programs he doesn’t refrain from critical words. He criticized some anti-doping organizations, including the WADA.
Bruce Goldberger criticized feds in the case linked with Roger Clemens. They based on “beer can evidence” presented by McNamee to prove that Roger Clemens utilized steroids and HGH. Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer of Roger Clemens, presented a beer can with used needles and syringes that had traces of such steroids, as Sustanon, Primobolan Depot and Deca Durabolin and were mixed allegedly with Roger Clemens’ blood. The beer can was stored by McNamee more than 6 years. The toxicologist noted that such basis was not reasonable.
Goldberger confirmed that it was impossible to base on “beer can evidence”. He added that no one could prove that Roger Clemens used steroids and HGH, basing on the beer can, because the theory of contamination could present.
Thus, Goldberger didn’t support the affirmations of the feds. Earlier the toxicologist also expressed criticism related to evidence used by certain anti-doping agencies.
Several years ago the toxicologist Bruce Goldberger testified on behalf of Floyd Landis, an American celebrated cyclist, when this sportsman appealed positives for steroids. A WADA-accredited lab situated in France found traces of exogenous testosterone; T: E ratio and carbon isotope ratio tests were used by the lab. Bruce Goldberger pronounced similar words and criticism during the appeal related to Floyd Landis.
Bruce Goldberger confirmed during an interview that the WADA utilized inadequate ways and violated rights of sportspeople in order to have the success in anti-doping programs.
Floyd Landis didn’t have success in his appeal and acknowledged that he had applied steroids, EPO and certain other related medications.
Nobody knows which results will be achieved by Roger Clemens. Will the government prove that he has lied before the Congress? Will he admit to taking prohibited drugs? Or will be the results contrary?

Rusty Hardin’s argument is supported by photos and some other persons

It is known by each baseball fan that Roger Clemens is accused in obstruction of justice. It is believed that he has lied before Congress about usage of steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin noted that Roger Clemens’ physical appearance didn’t change greatly before, during and after his working with Brian McNamee. The attorney affirmed that this aspect proved that Roger Clemens hadn’t taken steroids and other related medicines.
Enhancement of muscle mass is frequently used by prosecutors as proof that a sportsperson uses steroids or/and other related products. But this tendency was not utilized during the governmental case against Roger Clemens. No one could confirm that Roger Clemens’ muscles displayed that he had applied steroids and HGH. It is one of differences between the cases against Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds.
When it comes to the governmental case against Barry Bonds, federal prosecutors called many individuals in the trial who could testify that anabolic steroids led to essential changes in physical appearance of this athlete. They claimed that administration of steroids caused enhancement of muscle mass, enhanced size of the head and testicular shrinkage in Barry Bonds.
Thus, Rusty Hardin presented 4 pictures of Roger Clemens. The photos displayed physical appearance of Roger Clemens, including the period of time when Clemens was working with the coach Brain McNamee. The attorney noticed that the pictures showed that there were no changes in physical appearance that could manifest that he used steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin claimed that the pictures manifested only the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern also confirmed that she didn’t observe any changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens experienced neither back acne, nor gynecomastia, nor dramatically enhanced muscle mass.
The former Major League Baseball player Phil Garner also affirmed that there were not any essential changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with Brian McNamee.
The Assistant US Attorney Steve Durham put efforts to discredit the argument about lack of physical changes in Roger Clemens during the cross-examination of Phil Garner. He confirmed that while several steroids enhanced muscle size, others didn’t promote enhancing muscles. So, he confirmed that the photos could display nothing about steroid use.
Feds want to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they confirm that changes in physical appearance of Barry Bonds manifest that he has applied steroids, lack of changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t taken steroids.

Steroids are not responsible for deadly actions of Norwegian killer

Anders Behring Breivik was accused in murder of  70 persons. He bombed buildings of government in Oslo (Norway). Several teenagers of the Workers’ Youth League camp were also murdered by this person on Utoya island in July 2011.
This criminal prepared for the massacre substantially. He admitted that he had used steroid cycles.  Since he used steroids, these preparations were blamed for the massacre by many journalists.
But what did experts affirm? Joerge Moerland, a professor of forensic toxicology at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, contested statements of these reporters. The specialist Joerge Moerland claimed that anabolic steroids were not responsible for the crimes committed by this person. But the toxicologist acknowledged that he couldn’t exclude that these products could cause aggressiveness in the murderer.
An ECA, a combination of caffeine, aspirin and ephedrine, was also administered by Breivik. Actually, this combination is commonly administered by bodybuilders for fat burning and pre-workout stimulation. It was defined that Breivik has administered great amount of the combination. The amount utilized by him was by 50 % more enhanced than it is allowed under European Union’s rules.
The forensic toxicologist Moerland noted that the killer’s behavior was more significantly affected by the “ECA stack” than steroids. He explained that ephedrine might cause desire to be implicated in risky activities. Moerland confirmed that the killer’s central nervous system had been affected by ephedrine.
Nonetheless, the expert Joerge Moerland noted about limitation of the ECA’ influence. The quantity of caffeine consumed by the murderer was equal to approximately 5 cups of coffee. So, the amount was not enough increased in order to be blamed for the crimes.
Anders Breivik described his usage of steroids and dietary supplements in details. He also recommended other individuals getting steroids at Alinshop.
The killer expressed his dislike of Dianabol because it was able to lead to fluid retention. He noticed that Dianabol could add more body weight than users could carry. According to his statements, approximately 50 % of the gained mass because of this steroid is fluid retention. The killer decided to take several stacks that were appropriate for his needs.
Anders Breivik learnt about effects of various steroids in order to choose those who were appropariate for his needs. He affirmed that Testosterone Propionate had certain superiorities over Dianabol. He also suggested that combinations of Dianabol with Aromasin or usage of Dianabol followed by intake of Winstrol could benefit substantially.
So, Breivik prepared for the massacre scrupulously. He spent time in order to choose and plan steroid cycles and intake of dietary supplements. He also pondered about each detail connected with attacks and murders.
Although several persons believed that Breivik was legally insane, it’s wrong. It is obvious that the crimes have been committed consciously.

Outlaw motorcycle gangs should be blamed for spread of steroid use in Australia

According to the newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald”, outlaw motorcycle gangs should be blamed for spread of illegal administration of steroids in Australia. The gangs get essential profit and decreased risks.
The detective Nick Bingham has noted that New South Wales Police doesn’t focus on investigation linked with application of steroids but anabolic steroids become targets of investigations, when police officers arrest motorcycle gangs for violation of other laws.
According to Nick Bingham, however New South Wales police officials don’t raid houses of gangs for steroids, they find them, when searches for weapons and stimulants are conducted.
Bingham has noted that they usually seize such quantities of steroids from motorcycle gangs that are just for personal usage. Quantities of other products that are commonly found in possession of gangs are much greater than those of steroids.
Nick Bingham has affirmed that criminals like using anabolic steroids in order to create threatening muscular bodies. They want to look big and powerful.
However Nick Bingham assures that gangs have steroids just for self-administration, the newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” presents opposite point of view. It reports that motorcycle gangs are implicated in smuggling of steroids.
However gyms are claimed to be the most important sources of steroids for bodybuilders, it is stated by “The Sydney Morning Herald” that certain gyms have close links with motorcycle gangs. The Herald claims that numerous seizures made by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service are connected directly with distribution of steroids by motorcycle gangs.
According to reports of Australian Customs, mail seizures of steroids have been increased significantly in comparison with past years.
More than 2, 000 seizures were made in 2009-2010 and over 5, 000 seizures of steroids were recorded in 2010-2011.
Many seizures were connected with personal intake of steroids imported by bodybuilders.

David Segui has knowledge about steroid use by Roger Clemens

Federal prosecutors want the judge Reggie Walton to permit the former first baseman of the Major League Baseball David Segui to present testimony in the trial related to the case of Roger Clemens. This player had a conversation with Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer of Roger Clemens. It is confirmed that they have spoken about intake of steroids by the former famous baseball player.
McNamee was chosen to testify against Roger Clemens because he turned out to be the only person that had direct knowledge about usage of steroids and other related medications by Roger Clemens. Furthermore, he kept injection equipment: vials, syringes and needles which were allegedly mixed with Roger Clemens’ blood. DNA analysis was conducted in order to define whether the blood belonged really to Clemens.
Rusty Hardin, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, claimed that the steroid evidence was fabricated by Brian McNamee after the questioning by federal prosecutors.
But prosecutors noted that David Segui told them that Brian McNamee said that he stored several things as evidence of steroid use by several players in 2001. It was certain years before the former trainer of Roger Clemens became the target of the investigation.
Information provided by David Segui to federal prosecutors differed essentially from that presented to the sportswriter Jim Baumbach. His affirmations provided to the sportswriter were published in an article in 2008. According to that piece of news, Segui confirmed that he had never spoken about steroids with his friend Brian McNamee.
David Segui learnt about involvement of Brian McNamee into the trial of Roger Clemens only in 2006, when he read an article in the Los Angeles Times.
David Segui was quite open in his discussions about personal administration of steroids and other related medicines. He said that players of the Major League Baseball asked him many times whether he had used steroids. This person acknowledged that he had applied them. But Segui confirmed that he had never spoken about administration of steroids with Brian McNamee.
David Segui supported McNamee’s decision to keep evidence about intake of forbidden medications by his clients. According to David Segui, it is a correct decision because sometimes innocent persons are blamed but guilty individuals are covered. Thus, Brian McNamee could help to support the truth.
Although federal prosecutors asked the judge Walton to permit Segui to provide testimony in the trial linked with Roger Clemens, the judge didn’t announce his decision yet.

Andre Berto’s positives for Nandrolone led to cancelation of fight between him and Victor Ortiz

The professional boxer Andre Berto tested positive for the steroid Nandrolone. The Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) conducted the drug testing.
He had to fight against Victor Ortiz on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles. He agreed to submit to random drug testing before the match. Both “A” and “B” urine samples indicated about application of the anabolic steroid Nandrolone.
It was already the second time this month, when the VADA tested fighters and caught them administering steroids. The first boxer that tested positive this month due to tests conducted by the VADA was Lamont Peterson. He had to fight against Amir Khan. It is quite ironically that Peterson requested random blood and urine testing. A carbon isotope ratio test conducted by the VADA displayed that exogenous testosterone was in this boxer’s system several weeks before the fight.
Financial position of several companies suffered due to tests conducted by the VADA. For example, Golden Boy Promotions lost great potential profit due to positives of Lamont Peterson. It was estimated by the CEO of the company Richard Schaeffer that the company lost 250, 000 dollars.
The cancelation of the fight between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz will probably not cost so much because Andre Berto will be possibly replaced by another boxer who will meet Ortiz.
The fighter Andre Berto didn’t explain what had caused his positives. This fighter hired the attorney Howard Jacobs who would represent and defeat him.
Berto said that he had never utilized steroids. So, he noticed that he investigated with his attorney what could lead to positives for steroids. The boxer Andre Berto concluded that he had never cheated; he succeeded in sport because of hard workouts and dedication.
The attorney Howard Jacobs defeated numerous other athletes who turned out to be victims of fake dietary supplements.
It is claimed that since Nandrolone has quite long half life and it is detected easily, it is not widespread among those who dope. But it has been defined numerous times that some dietary supplements contained the substance nandrolone that caused positives for steroids. But since sometimes not each ingredient is written on the label, sportspeople become victims of contaminated dietary supplements.

Nevada Athletic Commission overlooks that steroids play great role, if they are used during workouts

Chael Sonnen is allowed to use anabolic steroids. The doctor Timothy Trainor claimed that this mixed martial artist really had hypogonadism.
What does this condition represent? Hypogonadism is linked with insufficient testosterone secretion. Health care providers usually recommend testosterone replacement therapy for treatment of this disorder.
The athlete Chael Sonnen has gotten a therapeutic use exemption (TUE). Thus, this mixed martial artist is allowed to utilize steroids for therapeutic needs and meet Anderson Silva at UFC 148 in July 2012.
According to prescription of Chael Sonnen’s health care provider, he should be injected with Testosterone Enanthate and Testosterone Cypionate twice per week. The measures that are recommended have not been revealed. But under rules of the Nevada Athletic Commission, blood serum levels of testosterone in this fighter should be within normal range on the morning after the fight against Silva.
The physician Trainor confirms that those that fight, having TUE, should be tested on the morning after the match to find out whether they have used something right before the competition.
Trainor thinks that testosterone is able to produce performance-enhancing effects, if it is utilized right before the fight. He states that injections must not be introduced in the days before a match to prevent enhanced testosterone levels.
But it seems that the NAC doesn’t know that steroids produce effects linked with enhancement of performance, not only if they are utilized right before competitions. Application of steroids enhances performance during workouts before competitions. And the benefits remain even after athletes stop using them.
Sonnen had elevated levels of testosterone at UFC 117. He noted that he had tested positive because he had been on TRT.  After his appeal the suspension was reduced to 6 months from one year. But he didn’t have any TUE that time.

Famous Bulgarian weightlifter was sentenced to imprisonment due to illegal drug trade

The world champion in weightlifting Galabin Boevski went to nine months in prison because of illegal international drug trade. This person was arrested in October 2011 at the Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil after he attempted to board the plane with eight kg of cocaine. Galabin Boevski was led to Bulgaria. The narcotic was estimated. It could be sold at the price of 500, 000 dollars on the streets in European countries.
Boevski is a well-known sportsperson in Bulgaria. He is claimed to be one of the most celebrated weightlifters in this country.
First he was caught using steroids in 1995. Undoubtedly, he was suspended.
Then this sportsperson was caught taking banned medications in 2004. It was the second time when he violated doping rules. In fact, Boevski didn’t test positive for any banned drugs. But anti-doping officials determined that he didn’t provide own urine. The urine that was provided by this athlete belonged to another person. As a result, Galabin Boevski was sentenced to 8-year suspension. During serving the suspension he was caught trafficking cocaine.
Boevski became well-known due to his achievements in weightlifting. This person won gold medals at some competitions: at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2001 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya.
At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver this athlete and his teammates from Bulgaria provided urine samples that belonged to another individual. It was defined by anti-doping officials that the 3 urine samples were produced by one person. These sportspersons received suspensions. Galabi Boevski appealed the suspension but it was unsuccessful.
Galabin Boevski broke certain world records at different competitions. He held 3 world records. The best lifts of this sportsman were following: a 162, 5 kg snatch, 196, 5 kg clean and jerk and a 357, 5 kg of two lifts at the 1999 Championships.
It is wondering but this athlete’s reputation was not destroyed in Bulgaria. He utilized his status of celebrity in sports in order to launch a Technogym fitness center in Sofia. The center was named Atama Wellness and Spa.
Moreover, Maria Isabel do Prado, the Brazilian judge, confirmed that Galabin Boevski utilized also his status of celebrity in sports in order to traffic the narcotic cocaine. She also added that this athlete utilized the participation of his daughter in a Brazilian tennis tournament in order to hide his illegal deals linked with trafficking of the narcotic.
The weightlifter Boevski confirmed that he would appeal the conviction.

Confusion of federal prosecutors at court related to Roger Clemens’ case

The desire of the federal government related to the case of Roger Clemens was following: they desired to prove that this sportsman had lied before the Congress about intake of anabolic steroids and HGH. But the government was not able to achieve this goal. It was expected that Andy Pettitte would affirm that Roger Clemens had admitted that he had used the forbidden preparations during a conversation in 1999 or in 2000. But the testimony of Andy Pettitte was shocking for prosecutors. This man stated that he couldn’t confirm that Roger Clemens had used steroids and HGH because he was not sure.
In fact, why were the prosecutors shocked by the affirmation of Andy Pettittte? This person swore for the 2008 Congressional hearings on usage of steroids in the Major League Baseball that Roger Clemens acknowledged that he had administered HGH. But he provided opposite testimony at the Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington.
Michael Attanasio, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, asked Andy Pettitte whether he may claim that he is 50-50 that he has misunderstood Roger Clemens about HGH. Pettitte answered that he is indeed 50-50 about this factor.
When the prosecutors heard the answer of Andy Pettitte, they became confused. They stated that Andy Pettitte never answered this way, when he was asked certain times.
The U. S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton claimed that he understood that Andy Pettitte’s answer has been conflicted. Actually, his statement was following: “I don’t know”.
The attorneys for Roger Clemens used the moment of the federal prosecutors’ embarrassment. They asked the judge to ignore the testimony of Andy Pettitte because he was 50-50. The attorneys claimed that he probably misunderstood the athlete Roger Clemens or he forgot the details of the conversation.
The government has responded that the jury still allows taking into account the testimony of Andy Pettitte. ASUSA Dunham has confirmed that under federal laws jury is allowed to choose which testimony to believe. This person hopes that the jury will brush aside the testimony which doesn’t support the government.
Thus, the testimony presented by Andy Pettitte and his wife led to problems. Testimonies of Andy’s wife during the first trial led to the declaration of a mistrial by the judge Walton.
Pettitte confirms that he is a friend of Roger Clemens. Clemens must also claim that they are friends after Andy  Pettitte’s last testimony.

Did side effects of steroids contributed in decision of Cullen Mutrie to shoot police officers?

Law enforcement officials raided Cullen Mutrie’s house for a steroid investigation. This ma shot five police officers at his home. As a result, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney was killed; other four police officers were wounded. The next morning Cullen Mutrie and a woman were found dead.
It is suspected that Mutrie was administering steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, claimed that toxicology reports were waiting in order to learn whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of Cullen Mutrie.
Police officers reported that Cullen Mutrie had been a muscular person. This person worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. It was described that he was 6 feet 3 inches tall. Cullen Mutrie weighed 275 pounds. During a search which was in July 2010 police officers found anabolic steroids at his home. The policeman Wayne Young found them in a coffee table. He said that he had saw a plastic bag with certain vials. One vial was with powder; others contained liquid. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The vials were analyzed by the New Hampshire State Crime Lab. It was determined that the vials contained such medications, as Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
John Miller, a professor of kinesiology, was asked whether a link between the criminal actions and aggressiveness due to anabolic steroids could present. The professor confirmed that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to confirm that there was a direct connection between intake of anabolic steroids and the crime.
John Miller suggested that steroids that were on the black market were provided from legal pharmaceutical companies. But he has been mistaken because the majority of steroids which are sold on the black market are manufactured in underground labs. It is even suggested that Cullen Mutrie manufactured steroids.
Since a link between crimes and intake of steroids is a controversial issue, not only policemen but also media investigates the case connected with the cop-killer.

Members of NSAC: Alistar Overeem should look for more qualified professionals

Alistar Overeem, a mixed martial artist, appealed his suspension which was received by him for intake of anabolic steroids on April 24, 2012. But Alistar Overeem couldn’t win his appeal against members of NSAC. Alistar Overeem lost his license for nine months. Then Alistar Overeem may receive it back.
This fighter admitted that he had used injectable testosterone which was recommended him by his health care provider. Overeem utilized the strategy which was claimed to be boring. He claimed that he had never applied anabolic steroids or other related preparations knowingly. He tried to make the NSAC think that his injectable use of steroids was accidental.
David Chenoff, the defense attorney for Alistar Overeem, is experienced in representing prominent sportspeople.
David Chesnoff called the personal health care provider of his client to testify during the appeal. It was supposed that Dr. Molina would testify in defense for his patient. Testimonies of this health care provider were too miserable. The physician Molina provided an explanation for recommendations of several drugs which resulted in Overeem’s elevated testosterone: epitestosterone ratio.
The treating physician of Alistar Overeem acknowledged that he recommended and injected his patient with a mixture of Toradol and Dexamethasone because he suffered from an injury. In fact, these medicines are administered for anti-inflammatory purposes. But intake of testosterone in case of injuries is not approved by the FDA.
It is supposed that Dr. Molina hasn’t warned Alistar Overeem that these remedies contain the anabolic steroid testosterone. But it is evidentially that he has never asked about it.
Thus, testimonies of Dr. Molina turned out to display lack of the evidence connected with medical purposes for usage of forbidden medicines by Alistar Overeem. The physician couldn’t provide any reasonable explanation which could justify prescribing of Toradol and Dexamethasone to his patient. Testimonies of the doctor Molina worked against Alistar Overeem.
In fact, it became evident that Overeem was a victim of the doctor’s quack.
But it is possible to suggest that this strategy was designed by the defense attorney for this mixed martial artist.
Pat Lundval, a commissioner, was probably impressed by the defense of Alistar Overeem. She even referred to him as to a “smart guy”.
The members of the NSAC seemed to be convinced that Overeem has been really a great guy but he has surrounded himself with such questionable persons, as the health care provider Moline. They advised him to look for more qualified professionals in the future.
