Role of steroids in Olympics

All sprinters in 100 meter final at the 2000 Sydney Olympics were suspected in application of anabolic steroids. Could you imagine it? Although a lot of things were done to prevent application of the banned preparations in sport, it is not free from these drugs.
Victor Conte, the founder of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative, pointed out in an interview about intake of steroids by the sprinters in 100 meter final at the 2000 Olympics. Maurice Greene, Ato Boldon, Obadele Thompson, Darren Campbell, Dwain Chambers, Aziz Zakari, Jon Drummond and Kim Collins administrated the banned medicines.
Victor Conte is sure that Dwain Chambers, the British athlete, utilized steroids. Conte supplied these products to Chambers in 2003. As it is known, Chambers applied tetrahydrogestrinone.
Maurice Green, the American athlete, used steroids, testosterone cream, EPO and some stimulants. Angel Guillermo Heredia said that he had provided these medicines to Maurice Green. But it is important to mention that this American sportsperson began to get these drugs from Heredia after he had received 2 medals in Olympics.
However Victor Conte doesn’t know about all nuances related to getting and administration of steroids by these all sportsmen that took part in the Sydney Olympics, he confirms that performance-enhancing drugs had an immense role at the women’s 100 meter final of the 2003 Championship in France. Conte sold steroids to five of the finalists.
Kelly White, the winner, purchased the banned medications from Conte too. After she had tested positive for Modafinil, she lost her gold medals. Later Kelly White said that she had administrated tetrahydrogestrinone and the blood booster EPO.
Conte wasn’t surprised about the progress of anti-doping agencies linked with steroids in sport.
